Tasting The Lunchbox

They have an element of simplicity, making it real to the core.  #RealOnReel I was stoked to watch ' The Lunchbox '  (2013)  and must admit certain directors and artists are God-gifted. The ability to pick up a normal story and give it a humane touch is spectacular.  #EpistolaryRomance Set in the hustle and bustle of Mumbai and based on an one-in-a-million error by  The Mumbai Dabbawallas  - the food lifeline of Mumbai, these food messiahs have been honored by The Harvard University and even acclaimed by Prince Charles.  Ila (Nimrat Kaur) , a typical Indian housewife, cooks meals for her husband daily, with the lure of getting him to love her much more than ever. For that, she takes the help of 'Auntie' - an aged women living upstairs, just to ensure t

The Call of Duty

Duty takes up the largest part of our belief, as it assigns us to continue on an enlightening path.  I read of a lady gynecologist, who was about to go into labor and was  due to deliver  the next day. As she lay in the hospital, awaiting the birth of her child, she learnt of a lady, whose water had broke and was in dire need of a doctor. The ' doctor-in-labor ' rose up to the occasion, asked for couple of nurses and helped deliver the baby, in spite of being heavy-footed with her own "bundle of joy" in her womb. She later laid down her tired body and took a couple of deep breaths. In the next couple of hours, she was blessed with a child,  sans  any complication and dramatization.

Weirdos win the Lottery!

Photo via VisualHunt Come on! Let's face it. How many of us have seen and heard of weirdos, who've managed to irk us all in so many ways, leading to the moniker of  #weirdass  to be given to them and shunning them in normal conversations.  We have always believed that a weird way of thinking isn't the norm in the world and anything that challenges the normal routine, is considered  whacky,  and the person labeled as " cuckoo " in the brain's penthouse level.  But hey, think about it! Aren't such weirdos, the actual people who challenge the status quo, bang on the 'desk of mediocrity' and ask to be noticed on the podium of success?  Yes, not all weirdos fit the bill, and yes, everyone doesn't turn out to be a multi- millionaire, however they do leave the scenes, or rather hog the limelight, allowing people to take notice.  Out think the Normal :  Frogs on trees, money on tree

Moderating Our Lives

Image
Photo via VisualHunt Do we really need to moderate our lives? Are there motives behind doing so? Can this go a long way in creating a more accepting lifestyle?  A moderated life, can it really do us a world of good? To counter materialism and related consumer habits, it is advised to exercise moderation. It helps put a cap on spending patterns and aligns money management, with daily chores.  Moderation is claimed to be a good reason in avoiding the overuse of natural resources and helps in addressing pressing humane issues like lack of nutrition, sanitation, dispersed housing to name a few.  Being moderate in the mechanics of life, ensures everyone leads a peaceful life.  Speaking about life, how much moderation can be entertained? We are always told to live freely and sever from the shackles that pulls us back.  Are these mere idioms or is there an ounce of truth, within these beliefs?  Moderate beli

Leading the Way is (Sunny) #Leone

Photo via VisualHunt #SunnyLeone , one of the most prettiest women to have graced earth, IMO, a once renowned actress in the international adult movie space and a Bollywood actress, has adopted a girl from the town of Latur in Maharashtra, India. This conscious decision, was taken with consent of her husband,  #DanielWeber , also a former adult movie star, in order to complete their family, after close to 6 years of marriage.  Truth be told , it's a brave move from the  Webers  and they must be extremely happy to welcome  Nisha , the baby girl, into their family. The feeling of parenthood is surreal and I'm sure all measures were weighed in, before taking such a decision.  While the Webers rejoice,  trollers on the internet , have received fodder to shame the couple for this move. They ask for how Nisha will feel, when she grows up and googles her parents' professions, she will be in for a rude shock
