Religion should be our #bae! Go check for yourself.

Now isn't that a strong statement to put across in judgmental times like the ones we live in. 

I'm sure the moment I mentioned the term religion, a lot of you, must have begun #tching in your minds about the radical thoughts and the preachy tone of this article. Let me rest assure, I have no such intentions. 

For me religion is much beyond a large congregation of people, singing paeans and praising the Lord. Neither is it the dutiful #5timesprayer ritual, by bowing in the direction of a holy monument, nor is it gonging bells in front of colored deities and pouring milk over them, as a mark of respect. Stand in front of the Holy Fire, or shout out Mazeltov, if we cannot understand the perspective of another person, I think we have failed as humanity. 

I'd like to understand, which religion preaches hatred and forces people to convert, for a sum of money? No holy scripture has ever mentioned about mocking another person's set of beliefs and sodding their particular way of existence. 

It is unfortunate that many of the world's wars or atrocious crimes against humanity are committed in the name of religion. The mass lynching of Kashmiri Pandits and their subsequent exodus from the state of Jammu & Kashmir, is a poor plight example of systematic brainwashing. The broad daylight murder of Hindus in West Bengal, attacks on minority Hindu and Sikh groups in Pakistan, and the forced conversions of people in Kerala towards Christianity are sour examples of human inflicted atrocious activities.

Have these crimes been committed in the name of the Lord? Absolute hogwash. I refrain to believe that any Messiah, Deity or Holy Spirit would preach such non-violence. It's at times like these, where clerics, saints, parishes, dioceses and rabbis must intervene. Being custodians of the religion, they must ensure peace and tranquility is maintained! 

Spreading the message of love and unity is important, however not at the cost of inflicting damage to other sections of society. No country or rather community had ever prospered by plundering the minds of others. 

History has been a poor teacher to all of us, due to unfortunate men and women who have held positions of power. Lives have been lost, just because people's beliefs have been questioned and abhorred. People have found glitches in the right to free speech, and utilized it to instigate people, to perform nefarious activities. 

No Sir or Madam, not again. Not in our sane minds, can we face another megalomaniac mob, asking for rights in the name of religion. #justtoomuch 

The victory of humanity lies in the coexistence of people, set on beliefs in communal harmony. Let the call for Azaan, ring along with the bhajans, and the sermons at a service, power the Holy Fire to stay bright and flaming, for sanity to prevail and communities to gather as ONE! 

The truth triumphs in the end and opens doors for generations to sprint towards the green fields of true bonds.
