Matchmaking Meet - #MadeInHeaven in the #UberTeluguCinemaStyle

#PelliChoopulu (Matchmaking Meet): 😘 Watched an early morning Telugu movie today and like the simplicity with which the movie was portrayed. Set in the uber part of Hyderabad, the story revolves around a girl with an MBA degree and a laid-back boy with minimal IQ and dreams of getting married, just for the sake of the dowry he could get, to start his business #socialevil 👻 Both of them, meet under peculiar circumstances later realising that their matchmaking meet was a farce and they were scheduled to meet some other families for their respective matches! (hilarious!) 😂 A couple of weeks down the line, they meet to start a food truck business, with the American steaks and burgers concept, which turns out to be an instant hit, after their initial travails. #Hardwork 📝 With minimal clarity about their new business relationship, they head out to find respective matches for themselves, only to realise their affection for each other over a 'Radio Show.' #TrendyProposal

Watching 'Anand' and realising the meaning of 'Happiness!'

*#Anand (1970) #Happiness/Joy* The movie 'Anand' is in particular, one of those movies, which a viewer can watch to give a kick to his/her guts or even when on a quest to find the purpose of life. It is considered as *a gem in the annals of Indian cinema and deals with the topic of leading a gleeful life, interspersed with the sound of the death knell, which we all are wary about at some point in time.* 😇 #Anand brought together an acclaimed superstar and a budding one together, to create a unique bond, that crept into the psyche of the viewer and left them spellbound. 😲 Starring *Late Rajesh Khanna* and *BBC award Star of the Millennium, Shri Amitabh Bachchan*, this movie begins at the book launch of Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee, a.k.a (Bachchan), who honestly proclaims that his book *Anand* is not a work of fiction, however a series of events in chronological order, noted in his personal diary on a daily basis. 📔 Dr. Banerjee admits to the audience, that while he wrote th

Dear Life, Let's Connect!

#DearZindagi (Dear Life): ❣☺ A splendidly picturised 2016 mental-to-mentor movie starring *Shahrukh 'SRK' Khan* (Jahangir Khan) and *Alia Bhatt* (Kaira) in key roles. 👥😘 What simply attracts viewers is the simplicity and brutal honestly with which it has been directed by *Gauri Shinde* (English Vinglish fame). What one realises is the dearth of Indian cinema where females play the lead and depict strong characters on-screen. While the movie revolves around the flailing life of Kaira, who struggles to find a balance physically and mentally, with regards to relationships, rhetorics and regression, the positive vibes are panned out through one of *Shahrukh Khan's* most sublime performances till date. *No unnecessary drama, no over-the-board emotional encounters, just plain and simple dialogue delivery, with his tongue-in-cheek smile and dimple, which has made him the heartthrob of women across the world, between the ages of 16 to 60.#ThatsCharisma* 😍😘😎 While the

The Enigma called M.S. Dhoni - A Gem of #IndianCricket

#MSDhoni - The Untold Story: There are maverick players and then there are biopics which look to capture the masterstrokes and the master strategies that go behind making a once-in-a-lifetime player like #MSDhoni. The biopic captures the early struggles and the successive victories of making of a player, widely considered as the most successful captain wicket-keeper batsman of Indian cricket. #SushantSinghRajput, essays the role of Dhoni with a lot of conviction, especially the days when Dhoni was a budding sportsman in Ranchi and took up wicket keeping just because of his flare as a goalkeeper in football, after being noticed by his sports teacher. ⚽🎟 🏀🏸 While his father, Pan Singh Dhoni (Anupam Kher) looked at cricket, only at a transactional level and a platform to secure a decent government-services job, Dhoni aspired to make it big, from the sleepy, coal-rich B-Tier town of Ranchi. #DhoniMaarRahaHai As he enthralled folks around Ranchi, and neighbouring Dhanbad,  wit

Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 1 & Part 2 - A Cult in Indian Cinema

#GangsOfWasseypur (1&2): If cult movies, have to be ever recalled in Indian cinema, #GoW series would create a different niche for themselves. 🎥 With a simple story line, set in the the areas adjoining Dhanbad, the movie chronicles the lives of Sardar Khan, Faisal Khan and Ramadhir Singh who were caught in the battle of lordship over the coal-rich sections of Bihar (now: Jharkhand). The only motto of these goons-turned politicos was to use brute force, blazing guns and cold blooded murder as their mediums to gain advantage over the communities and businesses around. 💣 The movie uses foul, abusive and extremely blasphemous language to drive it's point into the minds of the viewers and also captures the local dialect well (Bhojpuri/Maithali-themed Hindi). In terms of power-packed performances, Manoj Bajpai steals the show in Part 1 as Sardar Khan, who is a vagabound in his early life, yet however finds solace in being a robinhood-inspired goon for the people of Wasseyp

Sully - A Victory for Humanity

Extremely moved after watching 'Sully.' A beautiful movie which talks about how Captain Chelsey Sullenberger had to land an U. S. Airways flight on the Hudson River, due to a bird flock hit at an altitude of 2800 feet. In spite of available run ways, he and his first officer took the decision to land the passenger carrier on the river to avoid colliding into human settlements. Thanks to this act, all passengers onboard were safe and went on to lead decent lives. While government officials tried to question his decision, he was honest enough to admit the fact, that he and his crew had 208 seconds to decide and the action was done, with only noble intentions in mind.  "Brace For Impact." #SullyIsAHero
