Cooling my heels at Kolhapur! #PacingInsane

Is there 'hot water' for a quick bucket bath?" I asked, as we dressed-to-impress couple of hundred of students at a college in Kolhapur. "Yes!", came a reply from one of the seniors, making my heart smile and my alter ego jump with joy!
As we washed up, the others got ready and started making plans to approach the Campus2Corporate program. It's never too easy, speaking to students, who are at the cusp of their degree completions. The questions are weird, however honest. They range from current business climate, all the way till salaries drawn. #TryAnsweringThat
I wouldn't blame these kids. They're a by-product of the times, where news about business conglomerates are getting very transparent, till the values of revenue Q-o-Q, Dollar vs Rupees graph spikes, budget trims and what not!
The best part of these students are they have no preset notions in their minds, and are game for anything out-of-the-box, thereby allowing innovation to thrive!
As we (6 nos. in total) boarded the luxury van towards the college that has invited us, we crossed our hearts and hoped to find answers to the barrage of questions that would be shot to us, regarding the innovation contest we were canvassing. Sounds exciting!

The #selfiecontests were an instant hit
But wait, we were in for a surprise, during the morning session. While the college officials were supportive with setting up the auditorium and branding the entire campus, the students were disconnected and under briefed about the intent behind our team's visit. #BeatThat
20 minutes into the session and couple of announcements later, the real, trendy and cool faces of the college, were pretty visible, all thanks to the #selfiecontestPhew!
I must admit, the millennials are obsessed with selfies and can go on for hours, just to find that 'perfect selfie.' The contest really kept us on our toes and the online quizzes made students take #Facebook at face value#trendystuff
What caught everyone's attention were the eye-catching props, used to make selfies look suave and possibly sexy, if I may say.
While the interactions with students were heart warming, we returned with one strong observation, common among all team members. The current college lot are selfie obsessed and are always on the look out for things online. Being digitally savvy is in and it's time to acknowledge it, honestly!
