Thanks for the memories, Ivanka!
It was a pleasure, I'm been told, and after reading articles online; to host the Adviser to the Trump Government, Ms. Ivanka Trump at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, during the last week of November, 2017.
It was the coming together of two decorated democratic nations, who feed off the positive vibes between them, and have always been committed towards maintaining a strong and strategic partnership across various fields.
The arrival of Ivanka Trump for the #GES2017, being held in South East Asia for the first time ever, shows the deep ties that both countries share, and their vision towards entrepreneurship, which has been essential for the growth stories of both these nations.
With the theme, Women First, Prosperity for All, this was one of those rare conferences where women made up more than 50 percent of the visiting delegations.
What was heartening to hear were the speeches by PM Narendra Modi, Adviser Ivanka Trump, and the hard talk debate between Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman, Ivanka and a panel of men and women from as far as Africa.
Adviser Ivanka constantly emphasized on how PM Modi has brought transformational change in himself, as a leader of the nation and called him a beacon of hope for the nation. PM Modi was equally generous in his praise for Adviser Ivanka, on the many roles she donned at the White House, and outside it too; all with the intentions of allowing citizens of her nation to prosper.
Ivanka reserved some praise for Hyderabad, whose IT parks she said are close to outshining their famous dum biryanis.
It was admirable to see a packed house at the summit, and topics of technology, economic cooperation and human prosperity being discussed with much gusto. It's being speculated that some very high profile deals are on the verge of being cracked, thanks to talks at the summit, where people from close to 150 nations were present.
The city of Hyderabad also saw a major transformation over the past weeks leading up to the summit, with social infrastructure being decked up and worked upon, at a breakneck speed. It was heartening to see the warmth expressed by a city to host high profile delegates from various nations, thereby making Andhra Pradesh, as one of the prime destinations for business houses to contemplate on making investments.
A round of applause to the people of Hyderabad who made Adviser Trump, the women entrepreneurs, and other distinguished members from various nations feel very much at home.
#GES2017 did get off to a great start, and also commenced on a positive note, which could possibly herald a new chapter in ties between India, U.S.A., and partner nations, who believe that prosperity lies in getting the best talents from across the world, to work together for international peace.
