I'm sure a lot of you, or rather, hordes of people around the world have felt it. That feeling of grandeur bubbling inside, like we were born just yesterday. The enthusiasm and ecstatic feeling of receiving an award is something no one prepares for. The thrill is incomparable and the eventuality is surreal. Did I mention galactic? 

Awards nights aren't your regular bread and butter stories. You know, those ones where one knows, I'm gonna get it no matter what. Top that with a team, that has toiled and the hope is that everyone gets acknowledged. 

Chronicling the feeling

8 hours to go

Everyone seems to be laughing during travel and something inside makes them feel that magic shall happen tonight. The confidence is peaking, as a bunch of all-men are at the mercy of the jury members. 


                                    4 hours to go


Lunch is done and the team await some news on the final list. Making it to the awards night, is a victory in itself, however can the entire team make it to the Top 10? That'd be an icing on the cake.

2 hours to go

Everyone is in a jolly mood, and not even the torrential rains can dampen the spirits. Befriending the women, who have been at the conference and connecting with the jurors, brings exciting news. The men and women, of the team, huddle around the conference table, with a sigh of relief and the sweet sense of excitement.

1 hour to go

Yes, we've made it! A mini history of sorts, as the head honchos are happy to learn of the organization making it to the final list and taking top honors. Designations kept aside, everyone jumped with joy!

Oh! That 'Awesome' Moment 

Yes, the team of men and women, who made it happen scoot ahead and take over the stage. They overshadow the jury members and strike the victory pose. Winning the award for a near-to-perfect event, with innovation as the buzzword was extremely satisfying. 

The victory jig and smiles were for all to see, enjoy and comment. Clicking photos at will, digesting the victory did take a while, however after a couple of drinks and conversations with everyone around, everything returned to normal. 

The high of winning an award is...Un-fricking-Believable! Hey, we're allowed to go overboard for a while right! 

Topping off that great feeling, with good food, high spirits and voracious laughter! Many more to come and lots more to achieve. For new beginnings and taller peaks to climb!
