Being Tech Savvy without Gender Stereotypes
The world is seeing a seismic shift and admittedly for the good. Technology is helping people, organizations and nations become self-sufficient and turn into change enablers. Technology upgrades are the need of the hour and everyone wants to stay ahead of the race (I mean everyone!)
Gender stereotypes, which have time and again cropped up are seriously dwindling and its heartening to see more women roll up their sleeves and talk "techie," along with "coochie-cooing" with their loved ones. The growing streak of being independent and making a name for themselves is allowing the #bettergender to realize how much of technology can really make them stay afloat and remain different from the rest.
From handling smart phones to flipping through E-books to utilizing the concept of "smart" kitchens, the women of the 21st century seems up to any task that involves a large chunk of technology. Rather I say, technology is on her fingertips and she can literally 'toy' with it.
She seems to be outwitting her male counterparts and turning heads, purely with her intent and a new found love towards technologies on the future.
This brings me to my next question, that has made me ponder for years. Were they tech deprived or did a certain section of the so-called "macho" men, create an image of tech-incapable to massage their egoistic tendencies? I like to fathom the later. It could possibly have developed out of that dreaded "weaker" sex topic, which plagued the minds of millions for years. #NotAnyMore This topic can be gleefully locked up in a sea chest and the keys can be buried deep into the earth's crust, for excavators to find 10 million years later!
What's in store for the future? Well, a trunk full of opportunities. More and more women joining the tech wagon and taking towards sciences with a never before seen zeal. A possibility of seeing a tech command centre prima donna-ed by enterprising women, who share their ideas easily and probably give the men a lesson or two, on tech developments. A lot of this is happening, though, minus the frills.
Whatever said and done, the amiable coexistence of men and women is on a high and thanks to technology, both seem to be understanding the nuances better and are living up towards becoming a reliable force together! Being united together has its perks!
