The Joys of Video Shooting

A video and a brand go hand-in-hand. In times like ours, a brand plays on recall value and that's where a video comes in handy.

You and me would generally associate a video with the FMCG industry or any product that we can look and feel at. The service industry does come with its' fare share of challenges and enlightening niche engineering services through a video requires the culmination of multiple ideas into a bundle of joy that resonates among every soul associated with the organization.

With the view of bringing out the inherent talent and the innovative work that an organization like Tata Technologies involves itself with, a few visionary teams came up with a bright idea of shooting a video that could open to the world about what Tata Technologies possesses and can do to make a difference in the lives of many people that it touches through its services.

Make no qualms, that, this is no mean task. Arranging people who have the drive and passion to talk in front of the camera about all that they have done over the years and making it feel natural can be intimidating to say the least and could be a recipe for disaster if not planned meticulously.

With the onus lying on the internal creative team, the members set on a journey that would involve collaborating with an agency that specialized in making videos combined with the elements of creativity that the in-house team possesses.

TAKE 1: Getting the script right
Often , the most laborious task is having the patience of arriving at a consensus to a script, The script had to have live elements that exist within the company premise and people that could relate easily with whatever is being thrown out to the general public in form  of dialogues.

A total of 8 themes were decided which covered all aspects of campus and the goodwill that the organization has built upon over the years.

TAKE 2: The right people
With the script done and literally dusted, scouting for the right individuals who can do justice to the script was important. Through a proven and tested trial and error method, individuals were chosen based upon their credentials and willingness to contribute. Phew! quite a task indeed.

TAKE 3: Getting the Teams together
When you work with teams that have a common dream and vision, it becomes easy. Gladly, the internal and external creative teams understood each other's requirements very well and just awaited D-day to begin the shoot.

The video shoot has begun and a lot of excitement has been created within the Tata Technologies campus. It's good to see employees supporting this initiative and giving positive reviews about the groundwork of the video.
